New public deliverables are available! PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 01 March 2012 13:54

Newly released TARGET public deliverables are available:

  • D11.3 - Social Architect: the Social Architect story is designed to stimulate learning on how a project manager establishes a project team as a self‐governed social system where all the team members have clear understanding of their responsibilities and are committed to the project. Once established, the Project Manager monitors and facilitates the social system through their challenges and ensures they reach their full potential through self‐governance. The scenario also captures the need for the Project Manager to be the interface between the upper management and the team, defending the interests of the latter and ensuring that the social system has their needs met to have a supportive work environment.
  • D11.4 - Sustainable Global Manufacturing: the core competence to be addressed by this scenario is the ability to perform a LCA (Lifecycle Assessment) in a globally acting manufacturing enterprise which is producing household machinery like coffee machines. This ability is developed by putting the player in a series of critical incidents with the task to define objectives, goals and boundaries of the LCA, to acquire production related knowledge to define a materials and energy flowchart, to collect relevant data, to calculate environmental (and other) impacts and to interpret the results. To be successful in this mission, the player needs to know about the pitfalls of the LCA process as well as maintaining good social relationships with managers on the executive layer of the company. Otherwise, the quality of the LCA will be so poor that no useful recommendations can be drawn from it.
